El Huarache Ancho de Anya

I’ve had another pair of huaraches from a well known ethical brand for 7 years and have always enjoyed the aesthetic of them. Fad forward to now and barefoot styles are all I wear in the rest of my footwear! These have been comfortable out of the box, zero blisters, and I love them enough to contemplate a second pair as I’m pregnant and they’re easy on/off and extremely versatile. Keep it up! I have a low volume, wide foot and found going down a half size was perfect.

Was so excited to find this shoe made for wide feet, they're very comfortable and high quality. Customer Care team is great and responsive, however after providing my measurements I went with the recommended size (my normal, 8.5) and after a few weeks of wearing them the leather has naturally stretched to the point that they feel loose. So I'm unable to wear them without the ankle straps, which are fortunately very cute! I love them so much I may try to sell what I have and reorder.

I down voted one star because the tan colorway as shown on-site is actually more orange than neutral.

TLDR; 4.5 stars, work great for men just need to style appropriately, wide toes, wide midfoot, leather conforms comfortably to your foot, ordered my normal size.

Been my everyday shoe since I got them 2 weeks ago, including for church. Thoroughly enjoying the breeze in my toes. I've had recurring athletes foot and got really excited about a sockless, breathable shoe I can wear in the office during the summer months.

Key for styling for men is ankle pants; brace the exposed ankles. Linen pants and airy shorts pairs especially well. A bit eccentric, but have already gotten complements on them.

Super lightweight, breathable, smooth leather insoles. The leather straps right at the opening rubbed against the top side of my foot for the first 2-3 wears, but since it's leather it has stretched a bit and conformed to the shape of my foot making it very comfortable now while maintaining a snug fit. Plenty of toe space; a bit more than my Whitin's and Lems Chukkas. Good shoe for people with a wider midfoot (and/or flat feet). Very easy to slip off, easy enough to put on but I recommend a shoe horn to preserve the heel.

Outsole feels like a textured hard rubber. Not overly grippy, which I actually prefer for this style of shoe. Flexible but stiff. Enough to provide protection when walking over sharp surfaces, but still gives you a bit of ground feel. Just right, in my opinion.

Just went for my normal shoe size (12 US mens) and fits pretty spot on.
