The Everyday Sneaker de Piel Natural para Mujer

These are great. Amazing, actually. I sized up from my usual size and they were still too small, but I needed them immediately and couldn’t wait for another pair to ship, so I cut slits in the backs to make it work. They truly are zero heel drop and I can feel my calves and foot muscles work when I wear these. Very very flexible and thin sole and of course the nice wide toe box. I wear with Injinji toe socks (no show) for optimal function. I read reviews about the laces slipping, but I have tied the laces intentionally and firmly each time and have never had them unravel. Wore these on a hot (late May) day on a 2-3 hour flat trek around NYC (including the High Line) and they were perfect. I developed beautiful calf muscles after, so I know they are letting my natural mechanics work. Walking downhill cramps/stuffs my toes, but again, I don’t have the correct size. I can’t wait until I afford to get correct size because I’m sure they will be even that more perfect!

I really like these sneakers and this is my second pair. The leather on the black is smooth, in contrast to the white with gum sole that is a more natural pebbled texture. The black leather has taken more time to break in and will always look more polished than the white, but I love them both because of these differences. My only complaint, which is very minor, but also noted on my review of the white Everyday sneaker, is that the insole is firmly attached. Because I wear these shoes barefoot, the insoles are showing considerable wear. I would have preferred a removable insole like the New Derby flats.

From the very first wear, these shoes have been an absolute favorite! I wear them nearly every day, and they were the first shoe on my packing list for a recent trip (pictured on the airplane here). The only thing I would change, which is a minor issue for me, is to have a removable insole. I also ordered Origo Derby, which comes with the same insole as the Everyday Sneaker, but as an option to add if needed. The Everyday sneaker's insoles are firmly glued. Overall, these are still my favorites and I can't wait to get another color option.
