In our latest collaboration with Anya’s Reviews, we introduce the Woven Ballerina—a striking barefoot flat, handwoven by skilled Mexican artisans.

Each pair carries the story of hours of expert craftsmanship: vegetable-tanned leather is
carefully stripped, softened, and woven by hand to create a distinctive, textured design that stands out.

The Woven Ballerina offers a fit similar to our women’s huarache line. The flexible weave gently adapts to your foot’s shape, providing all-day comfort with the grounded feel of barefoot footwear.

Fits true to size for low to mid-volume feet (refer to Anya's blog here)

FEATURES

+ Vegetable-dyed, chrome-free natural leather

+ 3 mm natural rubber outsole, with texture for grip

+ Sole features an extra insole as part of the production process, resulting in a slightly more structured sole but still with all the comfort that the Origo by Anya’s reviews huaraches feature 

+ Please note that the vegetable-tanned leather used in our products is free of Chrome and may have slight color variations or darker spots. Expect a slight color patina as shoe is weathered

MATERIALS

+ Natural Leather: Sourced from local and environmentally-conscious tanneries, our natural leather is not only durable and breathable but also adapts to your foot's shape. We use chrome-free leather, dyed by hand using vegetables for color. As a result, the color is not even. Ages beautifully.


+ Natural Rubber: Utilized in our Huarache and New Derby soles, natural rubber provides flexibility, shock absorption, and excellent grip, even on wet surfaces.

SUSTAINABILITY + ETHICS

Every pair is made in small batches by skilled artisans in Mexico, at factories where worker safety and above-market wages are the standard. From sourcing premium materials to packaging our shoes, we make thoughtful decisions at every step in our supply chain to reduce our carbon footprint. Every pair sold supports reforestation through our partnership with One Tree Planted.

    Darling and dang comfy

    I won these in two colors and wear them several times a week. They were my stylish shoes in Europe walking 10-24K steps daily. They run true to size.

    I love them!!

    I absolutely adore these sandals. It was kind of an ordeal to get the correct size because I made my initial order based off the website size recommendation measurements, which didn’t end up being accurate for me and in the time I requested an exhnage, they went out of stock. I had to wait around a month and a half for the exchange, but eventually got the correct size. Initially they were uncomfortable on my heel and my high instep, but they do break in and give! After that, they became my fashion shoe for the summer.

    Love these!

    This feel so good. Great quality. If I could change one thing, I feel the coverage over the toe is just a bit too much and throws off the overall visual balance. I would like the open part to go a little lower toward the toe.

    Love this shoe!

    Wish I had gotten these earlier, but I finally pulled the trigger before my summer Europe trip. They were so cute with pants and dresses and I walked 20K steps in them daily. They also kept my feet cool in the heat. They might be trendy right now but I feel like they're timeless enough (and fantastic quality) that I will be wearing these for many summers to come!

    These are the MOST COMFORTABLE shoes I've ever worn in my life. Every shoe hurts me but not these. I hiked in them, walked cities and forest, and ran around town daily with them. I will forever buy them plus they are cute. I hope you come out with better colors!

    Stylish and comfortable

    I love these shoes! They are very comfortable, beautiful leather and great quality. I usually take a size 10 but ordered the 9.5/40 and they fit perfectly. I have pretty narrow feet, I think for wider feet I would size up 0.5 a size.

    Airy and lovely!!!

    I have their other Mary Jane’s for special occasions but the summer made it too warm for my comfort. I have a gold purse for special days and these gold weaves are perfect with it! I’m always comfortable and my feet are so happy to not be hot. I could wear them all summer and longer.

    Dressy or casual, these are my summer faves!

    Absolutely love these sandals/flats! They are so cute with jeans or with a summery linen dress. They quickly even overtook my beloved Huaraches as my go-to. Size fit exactly as expected, and even worked comfortably on my wider than average feet.
