In our latest collaboration with Anya’s Reviews, we introduce the Woven Ballerina—a striking barefoot flat, handwoven by skilled Mexican artisans.


Each pair carries the story of hours of expert craftsmanship: vegetable-tanned leather is
carefully stripped, softened, and woven by hand to create a distinctive, textured design that stands out.


The Woven Ballerina offers a fit similar to our women’s huarache line. The flexible weave gently adapts to your foot’s shape, providing all-day comfort with the grounded feel of barefoot footwear.


Fits true to size for low to mid-volume feet (refer to Anya's blog here)

FEATURES

+ Vegetable-dyed, chrome-free natural leather

+ 3 mm natural rubber outsole, with texture for grip

+ Sole features an extra insole as part of the production process, resulting in a slightly more structured sole but still with all the comfort that the Origo by Anya’s reviews huaraches feature 

+ Please note that the vegetable-tanned leather used in our products is free of Chrome and may have slight color variations or darker spots. Expect a slight color patina as shoe is weathered

MATERIALS

+ Natural Leather: Sourced from local and environmentally-conscious tanneries, our natural leather is not only durable and breathable but also adapts to your foot's shape. We use chrome-free leather, dyed by hand using vegetables for color. As a result, the color is not even. Ages beautifully.


+ Natural Rubber: Utilized in our Huarache and New Derby soles, natural rubber provides flexibility, shock absorption, and excellent grip, even on wet surfaces.

SUSTAINABILITY + ETHICS

Ethical standards are at our core; our manufacturing prioritizes worker safety, above market wages, and humane treatment. We utilize small-batch production for efficient inventory management and waste reduction. Origo sources materials predominantly from North America and manufactures near our warehouse to minimize travel distances.  Our eco-conscious approach extends to packaging, utilizing garden-compostable materials and innovative kraft shippers. Each pair sold also supports Amazon reforestation through our partnership with One Tree Planted.

    Splendid for walking and looking good

    I'm obsessed with my wide fit shoes from Anya and Origo. I got a pair of these in gold, and some wide huaraches. I wasn't sure I would like the mary janes with a strap (because I have young kids and don't have time/energy to buckle my own shoes), but it turns out I can slide these on and off without undoing the strap. They go well with everything and dress up an outfit in a pinch. I can walk around the city in them comfortably, which is huge for someone who managed foot pain for years.

    Love…with one concern

    I was eyeing these for so long and finally pulled the trigger. I’ve had them for a little over a month now and I LOVE how they fit and how they look. I originally bought them for going into the office, but have found myself reaching for them for other occasions as well! They’re super comfy and had no break in time for me. I’ve walked miles in them with no problem. My one concern is the longevity of the inner foot bed and the soul. I’ve noticed them already wearing down and losing the minimal tread it has. Time will tell how they hold up!

    Super comfy and love the design

    These are so comfortable! I have narrow feet and they fit really well, I don’t really even need to have the strap tight that goes across (which makes it even more comfortable). So glad I bought these - they’re adorable. I hope they last a while!

    Better than expected

    I wanted cute comfortable shoes that I could walk around in NYC. These looked cute , but I wasnt to sure about how comfortable they would be. I took a chance and these have turned out to be almost my everyday summer shoe. I am usually an 8 and I got a 7 1/2 because they were out of the 8 and they fit like a glove.

    Great Fit!

    I am new to barefoot shoes and I am just realizing now what I have been missing. I love the feel of barefoot shoes and love the look of Origo shoes these do not disappoint. They look really cute and are super comfortable. I recently wore them up and down the hills in Cinque Terre! Please consider designing some cute evening sandals.

    So many compliments!!

    I’ve always been a bit hesitant about dipping my feet (haha) into the barefoot shoe world, mostly because of the way they look. However, I’ve been wanting a pair of woven ballet flats for years since they’ve been trending but was unable to find a pair that would fit my wide feet. I decided to take to give this pair a try and immediately fell in love with them once I removed them from the box.

    They fit my feet perfectly, and I adore how my painted nails peek through the shoes. I’ve been able to dress up so many outfits with this pair, and best of all, I no longer feel pain when I walk. Out of all of shoes I’ve bought this spring, this is my most complimented pair. Please never stop making them!

    I wear a wide size 40 in non barefoot brands and found the regular size 40 in Origo to be a perfect fit.

    (I would be so happy if you made a pair like this in white…in leather or mesh. :))
