Created in collaboration with Anya’s Reviews, The Huarache Wide is a woven sandal handmade in Mexico, offering a more spacious alternative to our Huarache Slip-On model.

Maintaining its traditional essence, these sandals feature added volume and width, ensuring enhanced comfort and spaciousness, coupled with a convenient slip-on design.

Huaraches age gracefully, stretching and conforming to the unique shape of your feet while providing a light and airy sensation.

+ The Huarache Wide also comes with ankle straps.

+ Best suited for medium to high-volume feet (refer to Anya's blog here)

+ Vegetable-dyed, chrome-free natural leather

+ 3 mm natural rubber outsole, with texture for grip

+ Woven straps that will conform to your foot as the leather ages

+ Increased volume and wider toe box compared to the Huarache Slip-On (refer to Anya's blog here)


*Please note that the vegetable-dyed leather used in our products is free of Chrome and may have slight color variations or darker spots.

MATERIALS

+ Natural Leather: Sourced from local and environmentally-conscious tanneries, our natural leather is not only durable and breathable but also adapts to your foot's shape. We use chrome-free leather, dyed by hand using vegetables for color. As a result, the color is not even. Ages beautifully.


+ Natural Rubber: Utilized in our Huarache and New Derby soles, natural rubber provides flexibility, shock absorption, and excellent grip, even on wet surfaces.

SUSTAINABILITY + ETHICS

Ethical standards are at our core; our manufacturing prioritizes worker safety, above market wages, and humane treatment. We utilize small-batch production for efficient inventory management and waste reduction. Origo sources materials predominantly from North America and manufactures near our warehouse to minimize travel distances.  Our eco-conscious approach extends to packaging, utilizing garden-compostable materials and innovative kraft shippers. Each pair sold also supports Amazon reforestation through our partnership with One Tree Planted.

    Beautifully constructed, leather huaraches!

    My medium-volume feet are 23.25 and 23.5cm in length. I ordered a wide US 6.5. The shoes stay on my feet as I walk and are comfortable to wear in an urban city. I recommend them.

    Comfy!

    I was hesitant bc my feet are SO WIDE, but these fit! They take a little breaking in with socks but now I just slide them on whenever, and love them!

    So stinking comfortable!

    I have very wide feet with bunions on both feet and it’s next to impossible to find cute yet comfortable shoes. Enter, barefoot shoes! Origo came up on my search and I loved their Huarache style slip-ons. I’m a 7.5W usually have to size up to an 8W to compensate for my wide feet but I listened to the reviews which mostly said that they are true to size so I stuck with the 7.5 and I’m so glad I did! They fit perfectly and needed zero break in time which is so rare for me.

    They were comfortable right out of the box! Some barefoot shoes aren’t cute but these totally are and will go with all of my spring/summer outfits!! Can’t wait to wear them :)

    Perfect shoes

    Break in time was 10 minutes or less. And I love how they look. So many compliments. Tried cheaper huaraches which were too narrow and I see more expensive ones. Why? These are perfect.

    Most comfortable shoes I own

    Super comfortable without any adjustment period. I tend not to wear closed toe shoes because they irritate my bunion but these ones were fine from the get go. No tread/grip, but that does make it easy to clean the soles.

    Perfect spring/summer

    I have the “non barefoot” version of this shoe and knew I needed this one after I started to wear barefoot shoes. They fit amazing, I normally wear an 8-8.5 but went with the 8 since these were extra wide and my foot has more volume than length.

    Look great and are comfortable

    I wore these a lot on vacation and am looking forward to warmer weather here in Canada so I can wear them some more. There was a short breaking in period for me - possibly because my feet are fairly high volume, but very comfortable now. I so appreciate the width and room and room for my toes. I’m wearing these without the laces so they are slip-on.
