I began using barefoot hiking boots and running shoes a year ago. The dilemma of a dress boot that my newly liberated feet would accept came up during a few times I needed to dress up- funeral, job interview, special occasion. I ultimately settled on these due to them checking the boxes on style, materials and shape. I had reservations about sole but these absolutely satisfied my needs and have been a pleasure to wear. So far I've had my 65lb dog pounce on my foot, scraping her nails agains the leather, among other stupid little scrapes on curbs and so on that hardly registered and cleaned up with ease.
These boots are well made, comfortable right out of the box, and get even better as the leather breaks in. And they look even better as they break in. Fantastic purchase!
I have three pairs of these and they’re the best. Very comfortable. I’m not sure how durable they will be because the leather is thin. But for comfort and walking a lot they’re fantastic.

The leather on these is amazing and they’re by far the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. Saw a friend wearing a black pair and ordered some. I liked them so much when I got them that I ordered a vintage brown pair immediately. Talked to her last week and now she’s ordered a brown pair as well.
