The Huarache Sandal Wide by Anya

These huarache sandals are lovely. The leather is soft and the quality is excellent. I measured my feet and ordered according to the size chart. Sadly they are still not wide enough. For reference, my feet are ~9.8cm at the widest point. The Origo customer service team was wonderful though. They helped me make the return and I exchanged for the other huarache style sandal in the wide width. It fits much better as it’s a little wider than this style.

This felt like they were gently hugging my feet from the moment I put them on. Fit my 25.5 cm x 10cm wide low/medium volume feet well. Definitely use the size chart though -- I needed a 7.5M / 9W when US W 10-10.5 is my usual size. I've worn them for 9+ hours so far with no discomfort, rubbing, or noticeable stretching of the leather. The leather is a little ragged around the edges of the weave, giving them a bit of a rough appearance. It doesn't really bother me personally and will probably rub smooth with more wear. Overall, I love how they look and feel. I have a feeling I'll be wearing these a lot this summer!

For context, I have extra wide and low volume feet according to Anya's categories. There was troubleshooting on finding a size to fit, and Origo was accommodating of the process. I've never done this before for shoes, but went a whole size down (snug fit overall). Half a size down still felt too loose on the tightest buckle setting. The length was also a little too long. See attached images - the sole is comparable in width to a typical flip flop (white sole in the picture). The sandal should be wider, especially because it is marketed to fit wide and extra wide feet. The sides of my feet overhang the covered part of the sandal. The pair I ended up keeping had slight discoloration in some spots, but I personally didn't mind. Those also have faded over time. The sandals took some miles to break in, and caused some discomfort . For noise level, the sandals make a smacking sound against your feet as you walk. The color is nice for spring and summer, especially if you have lighter tone skin. Note that the color on mine are a tad darker due to leather preservative. The sandals are versatile for outfits - a nice balance of casual and dressy. If the overall width was wider and the footbed quieter, it'd be 5 stars.

These are my first Huaraches, and my first barefoot sandals. They are so comfortable and cute! And I get lots of compliments on them. I got the wide size just to make sure my toes had plenty of room and they fit perfectly. I’d say my feet are low to medium volume, and there is a little extra room because of that, but since the strap is adjustable it doesn’t cause any problems. These are my go-to sandals to dress up or down. I’m very pleased with them!

I only started wear barefoot shoes in the last year or so, and yet these shoes (despite only having a 3mm stack height) were incredibly comfortable from the first wear and still are more than a month later.

I have other barefoot type shoes that have a taller stack height but are made of stiffer, less flexible material and so the huaraches are actually more comfy and I can wear them for longer (pretty much all day) without any pain or discomfort. The leather forms to your feet very quickly and my skin (mostly under my heel) only sticks to it very slightly. Not enough to be annoying.
