Almost great
These are definitely my go-to sneaker. The wide footbed, classic silhouette, and wide (but not too wide footbed) are perfect. After a full day of wear, the ventilation is miles ahead of regular canvas sneakers. My main issue is that the sides are tearing. The opening for your foot is pretty snug and the stitching isn’t reinforced or supported with extra secure lining. Now I have tears that first started after a couple weeks of wear and continue to grow.

Re-learning how to walk
These well made, light weight shoes are what they claimed to be: very minimalist casual shoes. This is my first pair of "barefoot" shoes and it's been a very interesting experience to have to think about each step. In conventional shoes I come down on my heel with each step which gets uncomfortable quickly in minimalist shoes. After several walks in these shoes I've come to think of each step as an effort to come down on the entire sole of my foot simultaneously with the outside edge touching down just before the rest. Only time will tell if my feet toughen up a little and I get used to wearing these minimalist shoes everyday.
