Created in collaboration with Anya’s Reviews, The Huarache Wide is a woven sandal handmade in Mexico, offering a more spacious alternative to our Huarache Slip-On model.

Maintaining its traditional essence, these sandals feature added volume and width, ensuring enhanced comfort and spaciousness, coupled with a convenient slip-on design.

Huaraches age gracefully, stretching and conforming to the unique shape of your feet while providing a light and airy sensation.

+ The Huarache Wide also comes with ankle straps.

+ Vegetable-dyed, chrome-free natural leather

+ 3 mm natural rubber outsole, with texture for grip

+ Woven straps that will conform to your foot as the leather ages

+ Increased volume and wider toe box compared to the Huarache Slip-On (refer to Anya's blog here)

*Please note that the vegetable-dyed leather used in our products is free of Chrome and may have slight color variations or darker spots.

MATERIALS

+ Natural Leather: Sourced from local and environmentally-conscious tanneries, our natural leather is not only durable and breathable but also adapts to your foot's shape. We use chrome-free leather, dyed by hand using vegetables for color. As a result, the color is not even. Ages beautifully.

+ Natural Rubber: Utilized in our Huarache and New Derby soles, natural rubber provides flexibility, shock absorption, and excellent grip, even on wet surfaces.

SUSTAINABILITY + ETHICS

Ethical standards are at our core; our manufacturing prioritizes worker safety, above market wages, and humane treatment. We utilize small-batch production for efficient inventory management and waste reduction. Origo sources materials predominantly from North America and manufactures near our warehouse to minimize travel distances. Our eco-conscious approach extends to packaging, utilizing garden-compostable materials and innovative kraft shippers. Each pair sold also supports Amazon reforestation through our partnership with One Tree Planted.

Nearly 5 stars!
I really do love these shoes they’ve conformed to my feet. They are only a bit loose when my feet are cold! The only reason I dropped a star was because there are grey metal looking marks on both shoes from where I am guessing they are held while being made. Very disappointing when spending so much. I wish I would have asked for an exchange immediately because it is noticeable and takes away from the overall look. Otherwise I would love to order another pair in black.

love
I love these shoes. They are the first shoes I reach for even in 100* heat. I wear them without the strap and do not have to worry about them slipping off or even think about my feet the whole day long. There was no break in period for me. They are 'slightly' snug to slip on at first, but I have very wide feet: 10cm wide and have been barefoot my whole life so my toe spread is equivalent as well. I have very high arches and that's one of the reasons I went wide instead of regular. And for my 26cm feet I ordered women's 10.5. literally like I had them custom made. Worth every penny. I want all the colors and to buy them for my daughter who is also a wide footer.

Go to summer shoe!
I’ve had another pair of huaraches from a well known ethical brand for 7 years and have always enjoyed the aesthetic of them. Fad forward to now and barefoot styles are all I wear in the rest of my footwear! These have been comfortable out of the box, zero blisters, and I love them enough to contemplate a second pair as I’m pregnant and they’re easy on/off and extremely versatile. Keep it up! I have a low volume, wide foot and found going down a half size was perfect.
